Puerto Rico…taken off hold

We’re back folks! I was really looking forward to writing this post 14 months ago but, you know…

So here we are! Flights and rental car re-booked and ready to go.

Our first stop was a fun local brewery right next to the airport called Ocean Lab. Our friend recommended it to us and I’m am so glad he did! This place ticked all the boxes! Great craft beer, beautiful views, and excellent food. It’s a little on the pricy side but you get what you pay for. 10/10 would recommend!

We were able to check into our Airbnb a little early and drop off our bags. We are staying in a little town called Ocean Park. Jim summed it up best when he said it reminded him of Trastevere in Rome. Hip young vibe with a good selection of restaurants and tons of little coffee shops. We are making it our goal to try a new cafe each day. Our first selection was Cafe Con Cé. I’ll let you see for yourself.

We took a nice stroll on the beach and watched some kite surfers until it was time for dinner.

Being so impressed with the vibe at Cafe Con Cé, we decided to return to their restaurant counterpart, Tresbé. They have a lovely outdoor patio and lots of food and drink options.

Sushi and cocktails for dinner with a live reggae band. I couldn’t ask for a better end to our first day in Puerto Rico.
